HELLO!

I have loved to edit for a long time; I was an English major in college but I had no idea what to do with my degree. (Sound familiar anyone?) I spent several years doing other jobs but I kept coming back to my love of editing. I decided that I didn't want to ignore it any longer, so I went back to school! At night. Which is not the most fun thing, but I wanted to do this right. While I was in school and after I got out, I spent a long time volunteering to copy edit for friends, business owners, and online magazines so that I would learn how to do it the right way (there's nothing like practice to help you learn).

While I was looking for the right career, I was also watching the online world grow rapidly. As I worked through my marketing class, I realized that I wanted to work with those who were growing businesses online. Just as a strong, easy-to-navigate website is essential, having clean, conscise, correctly edited information is crucial. I'm originally from a (very) small town in Virginia, I moved to Boston a few years after I left college, and after five years there, I moved to Birmingham, AL. I adore living here so far.

I live in a wonderful, just-purchased house with the love of my life and three very frisky kitties who make each day interesting. I am very close with my family and visit them as often as I can.
