Our knowledge and ideas can’t help anyone (including us) if they’re stuck in our heads.

I know this for sure: There are very real, meaningful connections inherent among all your ideas.

And I’m here to help you find them.

I’m here to help you do the hard (but oh so important) work of diving deep into all your thoughts and ideas and knowledge and wisdom and dreams…

…and then coming back to the surface with clarity and confidence, and a sense of renewed purpose and direction, and a deeper sense of intimacy with yourself and your work.

Because when we show up from this place of depth and clarity and intimacy, we show up in a way that makes a real difference in our lives and the lives of others around us.

I want that for you. And I want that for our world.

My path has been winding (and I’m guessing the same is true for you).

I started out as a copy editor about ten years ago (!). I worked with magazines, like Pure Green and Kinfolk (yes, that Kinfolk), as well as small business owners who had written all sorts of things.

But as I did that work, I kept feeling that I wanted to go deeper. I wanted to be there earlier in the process, to help shape what I was editing before it was even written, to help the person behind the words more deeply understand themselves and their message before they put anything on paper.

I have come to know (and be deeply grateful that) my work will always be evolving as that desire, and many others, pull me ever forward into my soul work.

I’ve discovered so much about myself along the way.

I’ve always been good with words, but working with them is a nuanced and complex thing for me. I felt a lot of restlessness when I was offering my skills in a one-dimensional way (you write something, I’ll edit it, and we’ll be done).

As I opened into curiosity and exploration, and as generous friends and clients mirrored back to me the gifts they saw in me, I started understanding much more about the innate talents I hold.

I’m very good at diving deep into big ideas, finding inherent patterns and connections, and explaining complex things in a way that feels clear and accessible.

In addition, I have an innate ability to see people as individuals with nuanced needs and ways of accessing and using information, and I hold a belief that everyone has deep, profound wisdom inside them.

And the ways these manifest into work I can share with and offer you continues to unfold over time. I now look forward to that, greeting change as a friend and teacher (as much as I can!).

And I’m owning that I have multiple interests.

I’ve also recently discovered Human Design. I learned that I’m a manifesting generator, which means (among many other fascinating, validating, and permission-giving things) that my interest is naturally drawn in many directions.

Over the years, I’ve had countless ideas that I didn’t fully pursue for many reasons—though I did create some incredible projects I’m really proud of: Explore: 31 Days of Intentional Writing, and Stay Unstuck: A Guide to Awareness and Action.

Those two are not currently available, but both are on my mind a lot these days. I love doing client work, and I also love doing creative work that brings things I’m exploring in my own time into the world.

Right now, I’m thinking deeply about how we engage with the wisdom we already have (so we don’t have to keep consuming and consuming). So…stay tuned!

And, of course, I’m a real human.

I’m originally from Virginia, but these days I live in Birmingham, AL. I’m raising an incredible four-year-old, Nathan, with my former wife. He keeps me on my toes (and we have three silly kitties who do the same).

I’m a tea drinker (mostly decaf) and I love reading fiction, knitting, cross-stitching, tarot, taking walks, puzzles, museums, yoga, chocolate cake, Sudoku, having deep conversations, and pursuing interests as they arise (there are so many).
