Explore the Power of Writing (registration open!)

Writing has immense power.

The power to share ideas and bring them to life. The power to connect people who have something in common, or who need something from each other. The power to make things real that once only existed in our minds.
 

But too often, we only write because we have to.

We write because we’re trying to rush an idea out the door, trying to fulfill a duty, trying to move something forward.
 
Here and there, I’ve talked about the power of a different kind of writing—but I get the feeling that you’re not doing it all that often (largely because I’m not doing it all that often).
 

And I want to change that. Today, I want to introduce you to something I’m calling Explore: 31 Days of Intentional Writing.

The idea is that for 31 days, beginning January 1, you’ll spend at least fifteen minutes responding to a short but powerful prompt that I’ll send straight to your inbox.

Before you get started, you'll set an intention (because everyone will get something different out of this), and when you're done, you'll get a guide to help you use what you created (whether that's content or momentum or something totally different!).

I’ve created pretty open-ended prompts that are all about exploring—your past, your present, your future, your feelings, your ideas—and you can use both the process and the results in whatever way works for you.
 
You can sign up between now and December 17—after that, registration will close. If we both enjoy this, I may offer it again in 2016, but it’s not a guarantee. (I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that I like to experiment with things, but that I’m also not afraid to move on when needed.)
