May Clarity and Consistency

This week's post will look a little different. Each month, I write a letter about using clarity and consistency to create content, a business, and a life with meaning. And I only send it to my newsletter subscribers. This month, I'll be talking about how to find clarity around—and then speak consistently to—your dream customer. It will go out tomorrow, so if you want in, scroll down to the bottom of this post and sign up!

But I don't want to leave this blog sad and lonely this week, so I'll be sharing a little roundup of where you can see me elsewhere and some things I've been loving lately. You can dive into both of those below, and I hope I'll see you in your inbox tomorrow!

We Are Jubilant Instagram feature
We've talked about this before, but it's frustrating when good stuff gets buried. I loved sharing a bit about my day for Taylor's Instagram series #CreativesWorthCelebrating, but of course, it immediately got buried, as happens with social media. So I thought I'd share my posts here in case you're interested!

A Branch of Holly
Holly of A Branch of Holly (such a good blog name!) reached out to let me know that she was including me in her five-part roundup of 101 of the best sites for bloggers, marketers, and creatives! I can't wait to see the rest of the list.

LOVING

Books
Okay, so I'm always loving books, but lately, I've found a bunch I can't wait to read! They're a mix of business and pleasure, just the way I like it. (Oh, and I always have a towering stack of novels by my bed, but I didn't include any of those here today.)

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen
I read this classic every year or two, and I just found out it's been recently updated and re-released. Sold.

How to Style Your Brand: Everything You Need to Know to Create a Distinctive Brand Identity by Fiona Humberstone
It was fascinating to watch Fiona put this book together (I loved her post on what she learned), and I can't wait to see it in person!

Better Than Before: Mastering the Habits of Our Everyday Lives by Gretchen Rubin
I listened to Happier at Home recently, and it made me a huge fan of Gretchen's work. I'm all about habits and routine, so I can't wait to dive into this one!

Radical Self Love: A Guide to Loving Yourself and Living Your Dream by Gala Darling
I just saw that Gala Darling has written a book, and I'm totally in. Period.

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo
I doubt this one needs an explanation. I know you've heard of it. I'm ready!!

Rest
I've had a lot going on lately. My grandmother was sick (she's doing much better, but still recovering), I was sick for a full two weeks (FULL, guys—it was misery), and of course, I was still doing client work, writing, and doing all the other things that keep a business afloat. So I've been spending time resting lately, doing what's essential but nothing more. It's working wonders!
