Three exciting things

Today, I have three fun things to share with you.

First, I was a guest on the Being Boss podcast!

(If you’re new here and came on board because you heard the podcast, welcome! I’m so happy to have you here. I’ll resume regular posts next week.)

I’ve known Kathleen and Emily for a few years now (which is crazy to think about), and it was super fun to chat with both of them about intentional writing, content flow, brainstorming ideas, clarity walks, and so much more! I know many of you have already listened (thanks so much for reaching out), but I wanted to make sure you all knew about it. You can listen right here if you’re interested!

Also, I went to their Boss vacation in NOLA last fall, and it was such a great experience. They’re going to Miami this spring, and while I can’t be there (it’s at the end of April), I would go if I could! So if any of you are thinking about going and want to hear more about my experience, hit me up. I’d be happy to share!

Second, I’ve created a worksheet library for you!

In the past, I've made and shared some free worksheets with you, and I really like doing it. So I thought I'd collect them all in one place to make things easier. If you want access to the library, you can sign up below this post! (And you can read more about it here.)

I’ll email as I add new things to the library, and feel free to reach if you have any ideas for worksheets you’d love to see.

And third, I’m opening registration for Explore again in the next couple of weeks!

I loved this experience the first time around, and I’m making a few tweaks before I release it again. Email me if you have any questions before (or after) it goes live!

I’ll be back next week with a regular post—the beginning of February has just been a doozy over here. All is good with Meredith and the baby, but a lot has been going on and we’ve been spending lots more time dealing with personal things than normal. Everything is going to work out just fine, but I’ve been softening a bit when it comes to writing so I can make room for other things.

I hope all has been going well for you and that your February has gotten off to a wonderful start!

With much love,

Sign up below for access to the worksheet library!

You’ll also get (mostly weekly) emails from me with encouragement, support, ideas, and lots of love. Hope to see you there!

Uncovering Your Core Message (a free workshop!)

Did you miss this free workshop?

Not to worry! You can sign up here and get a link to watch this (and other awesome) free workshops! It was a lot of fun talking about core messages, and answering a ton of questions, so I hope you enjoy.

This week’s post will be short—I’m doing lots of work behind the scenes to get the rest of the website and the content starter kit ready for you (read more about both and what else is coming up right here!).

But I did want to pop in and tell you about something fun I’m doing next week! Jamie, the amazing designer behind Spruce Rd., has invited me to lead one of her awesome Lunch + Learn live workshops, which, as she explains, "bring together fellow creatives for an intimate discussion of design tips, interviews with creatives, as well as other resources to add to your skill set. The goal of the series is to provide support for one another, and to be open about the tips that we have learned along the way! I hope that you guys find the series useful, and look forward to joining in on the discussion.”

So next Thursday, September 3, at 12pm Central, I’ll be joining Jamie (and hopefully you!) on a live workshop (webinar-style) to talk about Uncovering Your Core Message.

We’ll talk about what exactly a core message is and why it’s important, and then I’ll lead you through an exercise to start working on your own. Once we're done, there will be plenty of time for questions!

I’d love to have you join me—Jamie always makes these workshops feel fun and relaxed, and there are always great questions from a really awesome group. You can sign up right here, and I look forward to seeing you there. Jamie, thanks so much for inviting me!

P.S. I'm totally nervous, so please send good vibes my way. I just know I'm going to be seeing that countdown timer in my sleep!

May Clarity and Consistency

This week's post will look a little different. Each month, I write a letter about using clarity and consistency to create content, a business, and a life with meaning. And I only send it to my newsletter subscribers. This month, I'll be talking about how to find clarity around—and then speak consistently to—your dream customer. It will go out tomorrow, so if you want in, scroll down to the bottom of this post and sign up!

But I don't want to leave this blog sad and lonely this week, so I'll be sharing a little roundup of where you can see me elsewhere and some things I've been loving lately. You can dive into both of those below, and I hope I'll see you in your inbox tomorrow!

We Are Jubilant Instagram feature
We've talked about this before, but it's frustrating when good stuff gets buried. I loved sharing a bit about my day for Taylor's Instagram series #CreativesWorthCelebrating, but of course, it immediately got buried, as happens with social media. So I thought I'd share my posts here in case you're interested!

A Branch of Holly
Holly of A Branch of Holly (such a good blog name!) reached out to let me know that she was including me in her five-part roundup of 101 of the best sites for bloggers, marketers, and creatives! I can't wait to see the rest of the list.

Okay, so I'm always loving books, but lately, I've found a bunch I can't wait to read! They're a mix of business and pleasure, just the way I like it. (Oh, and I always have a towering stack of novels by my bed, but I didn't include any of those here today.)

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen
I read this classic every year or two, and I just found out it's been recently updated and re-released. Sold.

How to Style Your Brand: Everything You Need to Know to Create a Distinctive Brand Identity by Fiona Humberstone
It was fascinating to watch Fiona put this book together (I loved her post on what she learned), and I can't wait to see it in person!

Better Than Before: Mastering the Habits of Our Everyday Lives by Gretchen Rubin
I listened to Happier at Home recently, and it made me a huge fan of Gretchen's work. I'm all about habits and routine, so I can't wait to dive into this one!

Radical Self Love: A Guide to Loving Yourself and Living Your Dream by Gala Darling
I just saw that Gala Darling has written a book, and I'm totally in. Period.

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo
I doubt this one needs an explanation. I know you've heard of it. I'm ready!!

I've had a lot going on lately. My grandmother was sick (she's doing much better, but still recovering), I was sick for a full two weeks (FULL, guys—it was misery), and of course, I was still doing client work, writing, and doing all the other things that keep a business afloat. So I've been spending time resting lately, doing what's essential but nothing more. It's working wonders!
